The Northern Blues Football Club’s commitment to Charity Partner the Leukaemia Foundation has continued with another successful World’s Greatest Shave campaign.

Players, coaches and staff took to the Preston Market on Saturday, April 1, shaving and colouring their heads to raise money in the battle against blood cancer.

The Club is pleased to report that through donations to personnel as well as players rattling tins on the day, the Blues managed to raise $4500.

2017 marked the sixth consecutive year that Northern’s players raised money for the cause.

Northern supplementary player Riley Verbi was the key contributor throughout the campaign, raising over $1500, while Mason Blakey and captain Tom Wilson shaved on the day at the Preston Market.
