Sam Fowler will debut for the Northern Blues VFL side this weekend.

The excitement machine has shown his talent at Development level so far this season, and will get his chance to shine when he takes to the field against Werribee.

A small forward who arrived at Northern from the Dandenong Stingrays, Fowler has kicked eight goals in his last four Development games, including a five-goal haul against Coburg in Round 3.

Fresh out of the TAC Cup, Fowler looks to be another exciting addition to the forward line alongside Carlton-listed small forwards Andrew Gallucci and Kym Lebois.

The youngster came second in the TAC Cup’s goal-kicking, and has similarly hit the scoreboard with regularity for Northern’s Development side this year: he’s gone goalless in only one game.

He’s the fourth player which the Blues have used as 23rd man this year, and becomes the 16th Northern debutant to date.

Saturday’s game against Werribee will be broadcast live from 2:10pm on Channel 7 from Ikon Park.
