Northern Knights ruckman Matthew Harman will make his VFL debut for the Northern Blues this afternoon.
The youngster has featured for the Blues Development side on three occasions in 2017, and will now come up against the reigning premiers.
Impressing with his performances against some of the Development competition’s best sides, Harman will partner Matthew Korcheck against Footscray today.

Their opposition will largely be led by Tim English, the highly-rated young ruckman taken early in the 2016 National Draft by the Western Bulldogs.
In limited game-time, Harman has averaged just under 20 hitouts as a pinch-hitting ruckman for the Development side, while he is rated at the Knights for his impressive work-rate.
He will be the second club debutant today, with Michael Romero to also play his first game as 23rd man.
