Ben Casley has informed the club of his decision to retire from VFL football.
Casley revealed the news in front of the playing group at training last night, with the 25-year-old citing a range of reasons behind his decision.
The key forward was the first player to sign under coach Josh Fraser at the end of 2015.
In his two seasons at the club, he was included in the leadership group, but injury restricted him to just five senior games in that time.
He had been out of action this year since Round 6, after a promising start to the Development season which saw him included in the coach’s best players three times in five matches.
All at the Club would like to thank Casley for his contribution to the Northern Blues, and wish him the very best of luck in the future.
