Tom Wilson has signed on with the Northern Blues for the 2018 season.
The club’s number one will return for his eighth year at the club which he has captained for the last two years.
He’s become Mr. Reliable for the Northern Blues, missing just four games in the last four seasons combined as well as winning two Laurie Hill Trophies in that time.
Wilson has also achieved Life Membership at the club, a spot in the 2016 VFL Team of the Year and state representation for Victoria in 2017.
His 2018 campaign should also see him become the first Blue since his good mate Brent Bransgrove to play 100 games, sitting at 94 heading into the start of the new season.
Currently, his 100th game stands at being against Box Hill at Box Hill City Oval: the same opponent and venue as his 50th game for Northern.
Wilson and the club will also be hoping for a return to finals football for the first time since his debut year: he was a second-gamer when he played in a victorious Elimination Final in 2011.
With a raft of re-signings and new Blues to be announced in the coming weeks, Wilson joins the likes Mason Blakey, Kane Keppel and Marcus Stavrou as returning Blues for 2018.
