Fraser Pearce will be unavailable for this Sunday’s clash against Richmond.
Pearce will miss the game due to an ITB injury, but the young midfielder shouldn’t be on the sidelines for much longer.
Northern Blues High Performance Manager Steven Tiricola forecasted a quick return for Pearce, saying the club was hopeful of a return in the next 1-2 weeks.
It’s an unfortunate setback for Pearce, who had begun to string some valuable VFL games together and was beginning to adapt to the level.
He enjoyed arguably his best Northern VFL performance in the last game against Geelong, where he collected a career-high 18 disposals as well as kicking his first senior goal.
In other injury news, Max Dreher is nearing a return as he continues his recovery from a lengthy injury layoff.
After suffering a broken foot in pre-season, Dreher is forecasted for a return to local football in Round 14: just four weeks away.
Christian Farchione will have surgery next Tuesday to remove the screws from his shoulder.
