Kane Keppel will be unavailable for the Northern Blues’ next game after being handed a one-game suspension.
Keppel’s match-day report for engaging in rough conduct in the second quarter of Saturday’s game brought about a two-game ban.
It was reduced to a one match sanction with an early guilty plea, which has been accepted.
The tackle on Footscray’s Lachlan Sullivan was graded as careless conduct, medium impact and high contact.
Due to Northern’s bye this weekend, it means Keppel won’t be available until the Round 16 game against Werribee.
Keppel will miss the Round 15 game against Williamstown on Sunday, July 15, with the Northern Blues having a bye this weekend.
Keppel has played nine games this year, averaging 11 disposals and ranked second at the club for rebound 50s in 2018.
