The Northern Blues Football Club seeking an Accredited Practising Dietitian/Sports Dietitian to form part of the Club’s high performance team for the 2019 season.
Reporting to the High Performance Manager, the Dietitian will aim to provide dietary advice to support athletes’ training regime and maximise performance.
The incumbent must be available for one training night per week and match days, the majority of which will take place at the Carlton Football Club (Ikon Park). This position requires a season-long commitment beginning November 2018 and concluding October 2019.
Honorarium remuneration is provided for this position.
The specific roles are as follows — monitoring and providing advice on body composition; design and implement individualised nutrition programs; development of team nutrition resources; and a game day role.
Selection Criteria will include:
– Applicants will have completed the relevant tertiary degree in applied science/dietetics and hold a minimum ISAK Level 1 Anthropometry accreditation.
– Additionally, applicants must be registered with Sports Dietitians Australia (i.e. Accredited or Provisional) and must have completed the Sports Dietitians four-day course. Previous experience working in sub-elite and/or local football and other team sport environments is preferred.
– The Northern Blues high performance team is looking for an energetic individual with strong communication skills and relationship-building capabilities, a high degree of attention to detail and the required work ethic to match the environment.
