DUE to circumstances out of the Club’s control, the Northern Blues have made the decision to change venues for the opening two home games.

The Blues can confirm that the Round 4 and 5 clashes against Werribee and North Melbourne have been moved from Preston City Oval.

Instead, the games will be played at Ikon Park.

The decision comes after the turf at Preston City Oval failed to meet VFL standards.

The Club has been assured the ground will be ready for use for what will now be the opening game at the venue on Saturday 18 May against Frankston.

As a result of the opening two games being moved from Preston to Ikon Park, the Round 16 and 21 games have shifted to the Club’s Cramer Street home.

Both AFL and VFL members can now enter free to the opening home games against Werribee (next Saturday) and North Melbourne. Preston City Oval games remain free entry solely for Northern Blues members.

Furthermore, the Round 5 game against North Melbourne will take place at 10:30am, allowing fans to head to Carlton’s clash with the Roos in the AFL from 1pm.

The Club apologises for any inconvenience caused.
