JOSH Deluca has been named for his debut in Blue.
The new acquisition will play his first game of any kind since making his way to Carlton in the mid-season rookie draft.
A combative midfielder capable of hitting the scoreboard, Deluca shone as one of the most-influential on-ballers in the WAFL, winning four premierships at two different clubs.
He is a big addition to the Northern line-up, who will host Geelong at Ikon Park on Saturday afternoon.
A host of additions who have been included on Carlton’s extended bench are named in the VFL line-up, including potential returnee Liam Jones.
Northern’s reduced squad will be named on Friday at 5pm, in line with Carlton’s team announcement tomorrow night.
The Blues, who have also named Josh Hill and Jean-Luc Velissaris as potential inclusions, will be hoping for a similar result to the one that transpired against the Cats in Round 1.
Northern kicked off their year in the best possible manner, recording a one-point victory away from home.
Saturday’s game will be live-streamed on the Carlton Youtube channel.
