THE Northern Blues have named Cameron Polson among a bevy of inclusions to its extended squad for this Saturday’s trip to Casey Fields.
Returning for his first game in nearly a month, Polson has been named in the forward pocket in a welcome inclusion for the Blues.
The speedster is one of nine inclusions to a very extended squad of 31, including all of those named on Carlton’s eight-man bench.
The VFL squad will be reduced in line with Carlton’s team announcement on Friday at 5pm.
After travelling to Perth as the holdover emergency last weekend, Matthew Cottrell is a potential returnee for Northern: however, he has also been named on Carlton’s extended bench. He is joined by Paddy Dow, Alex Fasolo, Hugh Goddard, Matthew Kennedy, Darcy Lang, Nic Newman and Andrew Phillips.
Kane Keppel, Ethan Penrith and Marcus Stavrou are potential inclusions, while Oscar White reprises his role as 23rd man after a previous stint earlier in the season.
While the positives were there in Northern’s performance last week, they’ll be hoping to build on those signs and turn it into a crucial win against the ninth-placed Demons. For the second straight week, the Blues will take on the team directly above them on the VFL ladder.
The game will once again be live-streamed on the Carlton Football Club Youtube channel.
