Practice match details: Northern Blues v Frankston

Praccy match-16

The Northern Blues will play their third official practice match tonight against Frankston.

DUE to restrictions surrounding crowds, this game will be closed to the public.

The match will be covered on the Northern Blues’ social media channels and website: there will be no live-stream available.

As per AFL Victoria, the decision was made considering the advice from the relevant health authorities to support the health and safety of all players and support staff noting the current spread of Covid-19.

Northern will field a team exclusively made up of VFL-listed talent, with five of their under-19-listed players among the team.

The Blues will be led by the experience of Mason Blakey, Kieran Collins and Glenn Strachan. It will be Collins’ second appearance of pre-season as he continues his comeback from a prolonged stint on the sidelines in 2019.

New recruits Tim Jones and Joe Richards have been named, as have brothers Oskar and Archi Manton — the sons of Glenn. Archi has joined his older brother who made his debut for the Northern Blues late last season.
